Active Leisure for All
A sustainable initiative for reuse, community and collaboration
About the project
Active Leisure for All
Kungälv Municipality wants, in close collaboration with among others the association life and civil society, to make an effort to make activities accessible for all, especially children and young people, regardless of socioeconomic status. The municipality currently lacks its own leisure bank and residents have had to seek out surrounding municipalities to gain access to, for example, sports equipment. This is what Kungälv Municipality wants to change by collecting and coordinating its own leisure bank. The leisure bank will eventually collaborate with schools for lending equipment for leisure days, and will also engage in try-out activities.
In addition to having an accessible range of various sports equipment, the initiative wants to weave in the opportunity for work training/internships, this to involve and welcome people who are far from the labor market. The project contributes to economic sustainability and encouragement for reuse for sustainable consumption.
