Does the initiative fit into any of the intervention areas and contribute to achieving the goals?
The project must have a clear connection to one of the intervention areas of transition, food production, or experiences. Check the short version of the development strategy
The initiative involves clear collaboration and/or cooperation
Cooperation/Collaboration refers to two or more actors implementing an initiative together for mutual benefit. This can involve actively exchanging information or planning or carrying out joint activities.
The applicant has implementation capacity
Applicants with partners demonstrate good implementation capacity as they have competence, capacity, and resources.
The initiative has a clear local anchoring and is based on a bottom-up perspective
Local anchoring means that there is a locally identified need among those affected and that there is support for the project among residents and those active in the local area. The project has a result that lands locally and is carried forward by local actors. The bottom-up perspective means that the idea and initiative should come from those affected and that local engagement should be utilized. Those affected are those who actively participate in or are impacted by the project's initiatives.
The budget corresponds to the initiative concerning expected results
The size of the requested support is reasonable in relation to the target values that the project aims to achieve.
The project is innovative
Should the project be used to create development in various ways – not to support existing activities?
The project considers the principle of sustainable development
Sustainable development meets today's needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their needs. It is based on three dimensions: social, environmental, and economic. The three dimensions should be seen as a long-term whole.
