Carry out a project

Time to turn the idea into reality? We are with you throughout the journey.

Time to leave the starting blocks!

We offer support

We want you to succeed, therefore we will offer support during the project period. We will for example provide project start information for the project group, hold follow-up meetings, and assist with applications for payments.

Follow the project plan

It is important that you follow your decision and work according to the project plan. Contact the Leader team if the project cannot be carried out as intended. Likewise, if more time is needed or if the financing of the project changes. It is important that this contact is made before you make any changes. Otherwise, there is a risk that the support cannot be paid out.

Use our logos

Let it be visible that it is a leader project

All projects that have leader funding must show this by using our logos. This applies for example to advertisements, information sheets, and websites. The logos can be downloaded from the page Forms and logos.

We are happy to help you spread information about your initiative in our channels – feel free to tag us to draw our attention to what is happening.

You are our ambassadors!

Leader projects inspire! Please tell others about us and the opportunity to apply for leader support. Together we pave the way for development.

Advice and information

Apply for an advance

There is an opportunity to apply for an advance on the support as soon as you have received the formal decision from the Swedish Board of Agriculture – this applies to everyone except municipalities and authorities.

In the document Decision on support you can see how much support you can receive from the Swedish Board of Agriculture. It is that amount that forms the basis for what you can receive in advance.

Remember to report expenses even for the advance, it is part of your granted support. You report in connection with the application for partial and final payment.

You apply for an advance via My pages on Swedish Board of Agriculture's website.

Apply for partial payment

You can apply for partial payment at any time after you have received your decision on support and have incurred expenses for the project.

We advise everyone to make an application for payment within two months into the project and thereafter continuously throughout the entire project period. You apply for partial payments via My pages on Swedish Board of Agriculture's website. On the Swedish Board of Agriculture's website, there is also support and a guide on how the e-service works.

Be careful with the payment proofs
In addition to invoice copies, you also need payment proofs that show that the payments have gone through. A payment proof can be downloaded from the internet bank, often you can click on “Historical payments” or similar. The payment proof should include the following:

  • Payment date
  • Paid amount
  • Sender (which account the money was withdrawn from)
  • Recipient (that the payment went to the same plusgiro, bankgiro, or account number as stated on the invoice)
  • That the payment has been completed. “Immediate payment” is not considered a completed payment.

Report the voluntary time

Facilitate the work with reporting voluntary time by writing down your hours continuously throughout the project period. You can credit your time from the day your application was submitted via My pages on the Swedish Board of Agriculture's website.

Forms for time reporting can be found on the page Forms and logos but it is perfectly fine to create your own lists in, for example, Excel. The important thing is that it is clear who has done something, when it was done, and what has been done. The lists also need to include contact information, such as phone numbers, for those who have contributed with voluntary work.

We will follow up on the voluntary time in connection with project visits and a summary should be emailed to the Leader team at the final reporting.

Avoid deductions

  • Read the decision carefully. Follow the conditions, approved project plan, and budget. If you deviate from the project plan and your decision, you risk not receiving the funds you have applied for. Only the expenses stated in the decision are eligible for support.
  • Be careful with the logos. Ensure that the correct logos are included on all materials. If this is missed, there is a risk of deductions. We can advise you if you are unsure.
  • Don't forget to separately account for the project's expenses. To avoid deductions, you should be able to produce a report from the accounting that only includes the expenses related to the project.

Time for final reporting?

Get in touch with us!

When you conclude the project, it's time to apply for the final payment and report. You do this via My pages on the Swedish Board of Agriculture's website. There you will also find support and instructions for how an application for payment works.

Remember to contact us in the leader team before you submit the application for final payment. We will help you and review your documentation and reporting. We do this to reduce the risk of unapproved expenses being reported. Such errors cannot be corrected afterwards and may lead to deductions from the support amount.

Be proactive in good time

In your decision, the project's end date and the application for final payment must have been submitted to the Swedish Board of Agriculture by this date. If you apply too late, you will receive a deduction on the granted support.

If you, for any reason, cannot finalize the project on time, it is important that you apply for an extension. This should then be done before the project's original end date. Contact us in the leader team.

We want to hear how it went.

We think it is exciting and rewarding to follow our leader projects. In connection with the final report, representatives of the project will therefore be invited again to the LAG board to tell how it went.
