This is how it goes

Do you have an idea? Is it suitable for becoming a leader project?
Awesome! Then you are one step closer to making Bohuslän even better. Applying for leader support is a process that takes some time. The great thing is that as an applicant you can always contact the leader team and get the help you need.

Four phases to your leadership project

A leader project is a process with four phases. To begin with, there must be a development idea, something that can be refined and summarized into a concrete project, and a formal project application must be written. Then, if approved, the project must be implemented according to the terms and regulations that exist. Finally, the project must be concluded and a final report must be submitted.

PHASE 1

Test your idea

You can do this under the tab Test your idea here on the website. If you get a positive outcome there, it is time to take the next step, to prepare your application. Leader Bohuslän has a three-step application process before a decision is made on the application. The first step in the process is to fill out a Step 1 application. When it is complete, you submit the Step 1 application to the leadership team for feedback, who will then decide whether the application will proceed to Step 2.

PHASE 2

Writing an application

Once you have received the go-ahead from the leadership team that the Step 1 application is approved, you submit a Step 2 application + budget for feedback on the leader theme. The deadline for submitted Step 2 applications is in The calendar. The Step 2 application contains all the questions that the formal application asks in the Swedish Board of Agriculture's e-service. The deadline for submitted Step 2 applications is in The calendar for each decision-making meeting. The formal application corresponds to Step 3 in the application process. The leadership team provides feedback on the Step 2 application and associated budget and then gives you the go-ahead to submit the application in the Swedish Board of Agriculture's e-service, Step 3 application. The leadership team is there to help throughout the application process, but it will also involve a lot of work on your part. It is the LAG board that decides whether the application should be prioritized or rejected.

Phase 3

Implement

Did the LAG board prioritize your application? Congratulations! Now the application will be placed in a queue for processing by the Swedish Board of Agriculture, which ensures that laws and regulations are followed. It takes different lengths of time to get a decision from them, but approximately 6-9 months. When the Swedish Board of Agriculture has taken its Decision on support It is important to read this carefully. It is in the Decision on Support that you will find out what is expected of you and what rules you must follow in order to receive the support. Follow the project plan and if you have any questions, you can always contact us in the leadership team. Take lots of photos and share your photos. We would love to know how the project is going!

Phase 4

End

Once the project is completed and all expenses are paid, it is time to write a final report – application for final payment. It works in much the same way as when you applied. You apply for final payment in the Swedish Board of Agriculture's e-service and there you answer questions about the project. This is where you describe the results and report on the indicators that have been achieved. Before you submit the final version of the application for final payment, you are welcome to submit it to the leader team so that we can review it. When you have received the green light, you can safely click the button and submit the final version.
