The film about Ägir – The journey back to Smögen

Once again, Ägir, a wooden ferry from 1936 that has been given new life with electric drive, will operate in the waters of Smögen. Now her story will be a documentary. With the help of 352,270 kronor in support, the Magasinetfärjan Ägir Non-Profit Association is creating a film about the local craftsmanship, the driving force behind the work with the ferry, and the feeling of preserving a part of our local cultural history. The film will be shown in cinemas, museums, and digitally, and is made in collaboration with Sotenäs Maritime Center and The West Sweden Tourist Board. Here, both technology and local history are highlighted with heart and passion.
