The Red Cross creates mobility and community

Gullholmen Orust Red Cross Circle is granted support to improve accessibility for the elderly and people with reduced mobility on Gullholmen and Härmanö. The project involves the purchase of a customized vehicle that enables transportation to the ferry, store, care, and social activities.
The initiative is a clear example of social sustainability and local collaboration, where voluntary forces cooperate with other local actors such as the church, business community, and volunteer organizations. The project has emerged from a concrete need in the local community and contributes to increased independence, reduced isolation, and the possibility to stay on the island longer.
