Stenens Hus – Outlook over the Granite Landscape 

Sotenäs municipality wants to invest in highlighting and deepening knowledge about the cultural value of granite, therefore the municipality collaborates in this project with the collection foundation The House of Stone and the non-profit association Granite Coast. The House of Stone wants, together with several associations, to carry out a major initiative aimed at digitizing its archives and cultural history. Granite Coast, together with The House of Stone, will create a graphic profile and digital platform to make information about granite accessible, highlighting both its historical and cultural value. This project is the first building block to create added value and further develop digital marketing of the granite landscape and cultural heritage in northern Bohuslän.  

During the implementation of the project, they want to create a graphic identity for The House of Stone, clearer opportunities for communication, and both strengthen and find new collaboration opportunities within the granite belt. Together, The House of Stone and Granite Coast will be able to contribute to a culture-driven place development, the development starts with a graphic profile to later become a physical meeting place. Through collaboration between local actors, they preserve cultural history and create new meeting places.
