Locally good and green

Salad will once again be grown in Ellös! The newly started company Orust Salad and Green AB together with Orust Property Park AB is making an effort to fill the greenhouse with local green delicacies in the form of salad and herbs so that Orust salad will now be sold in the local area. Increasing local food production is a step towards a more sustainable society in several ways and that the previously empty greenhouse is now being used for its intended purpose is a good way to utilize resources. More local food increases preparedness and fewer shorter transports are positive for the environment. The fact that there are more entrepreneurs on the island strengthens the economy.
