Development capital for the local community
Several actors in Bohuslän, including local savings banks and foundations, are joining together in a project to collect and manage local funds to support sustainability and achieve the Agenda 2030 goals.
About the project
Development capital for the local community
Imagine if we could get more capital to stay in Bohuslän and also contribute to getting closer to the global Agenda 2030 goals. This can now become a reality through Coompanion Fyrbodal, the Thordén Foundation, the Arwidsson Foundation, Orust Sparbank, Tjörns Sparbank, and Tanums Sparbank coming together in a project to establish a new function. The goal of the project is to create a long-term method for collecting, distributing, and managing local funds for local purposes with a focus on transition and sustainability. The first decision round will be held during the project period, and it will be possible for public benefit associations to apply for up to 60,000 kronor for an initiative. Coompanion Fyrbodal is the project owner, and the Thordén Foundation will manage it during the project period. The donor group consists of Orust Sparbank, Tjörns Sparbank, and Tanums Sparbank, which will each contribute 200,000 kronor in the first year, as well as the Arwidsson Foundation and the Thordén Foundation, which will each contribute 300,000 kronor in the first year. These funds will be the ones distributed. The project also includes attracting more donors who want to contribute to a sustainable development of Bohuslän.
